In late 2006, SITQ announced work would begin on a new prestigious office building in the heart of downtown Montréal, the 900 De Maisonneuve West.
Today, the project is living up to its promise of becoming a premier destination in the Montréal business district, as the international real estate investment, management and development firm builds a property that caters to local market needs, handling all the leasing in the process.
A major player in the office building sector, especially in downtown Montréal, SITQ has also expanded its lines of business to include hotels, multi-family residential buildings and residences for seniors, as well as real estate investment and financing funds.
SITQ draws strength and stability from its shareholders, namely the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (which owns 91.6% of the firm), the Régime de rentes du Mouvement Desjardins, Alcan Canada Master Trust, the Association de bienfaisance et de retraite des policiers et policières de la Ville de Montréal, the Fonds commun de placement des régimes de retraite de l’Université Laval and the Fiducie globale des régimes de retraite de la Société de transport de Montréal.
SITQ, known worldwide as a leader in the North American and Western European real estate industries, will build a technologically advanced building reflecting today’s standards and needs. With the 900 De Maisonneuve West, SITQ is opening the door for future tenants to enjoy sweeping contiguous office spaces designed to contribute to the success of their business.
